Over the past few years the Textile Centre of Excellence has led on some leading edge technical developments for the textile industry in the U.K. Three, 3D Weaving, DNA anti-counterfeiting and Multiplex Laser Surface Enhancement (MLSE) are highlighted under this section; all have the ability to totally transform how the textile industry operates – from manufacture to customer – in the future.

The Knowledge Platform (www.tikp.co.uk) provides substantial information on technical textiles and invites knowledge sharing and further content creation from experts and authorities alike. It can be used and explored by students, industry users and generalists alike.
