The Employer Ownership of Skills Pilot is a 2 year (2013-2015) government funded initiative designed to promote employer-led skills and training solutions. The pilot aims to find more effective and sustainable ways to improve skills in the workforce to drive up productivity and growth by addressing the major skills challenges that have held back the Textile and Apparel sector.
There are five key strands to the programme:
NATIONAL APPRENTICESHIP WEEK Senior Representatives & Apprentices from the Textile Centre meet Deputy PM Nick Clegg as part of National Apprenticeship Week 2013!
PRESENTATION SKILLS New one day course suitable for employees who are required to deliver information to a group of people!
EMPLOYER OWNERSHIP OF SKILLS PILOT The Centre has been successful in winning a contract to deliver an EOP for the textile community in England!
TRAIN THE TRAINER Discounted training available - pay only 10% of the full price!
APPRENTICESHIP VACANCIES Fully funded for people aged 16-18 and part funded for anyone over 19!
