Higher Level Apprenticeships (HLA)

This Level 4 course is designed to provide the apprentice with a working knowledge of a range technical textile fibres, yarns, fabrics and finishes, and their application in functions such as; antimicrobial, breathability, fire and heat resistance, stain resistance biodegradability and conductivity. It provides the opportunity to learn and apply these principles to pursue a career as a materials scientist, technical textile developer, technologist or inventor in an exciting and cutting edge industry.

It is particularly applicable to those working within the industry who might wish to specialise in one area. It can also act as a springboard to further study at university.
