Skilltex
Project Aim
The Skilltex Project aims to disseminate findings relating to fault analysis of the textile and clothing sector. Working with a variety of European partners, the project will create an e-learning course that integrates the knowledge acquired from fault analysis across textile companies in Europe and their methods of correction.
The goals are to:
- contribute to the enrichment of source defects in textile products at the varied stages to agree a preventive measures implementation system across Europe;
- increase the active workers skills, citing lifelong learning as a major training tool;
- contribute to the problems resolution between the varied agents of the productive process;
- promote product improvement and increase the competitiveness of companies;
- support qualifications and personal development
- Make training more attractive through non traditional resources and the use of ICT.
Through a dedicated training programme, it is anticipated that the Skilltex Project will:
- assist with the enhancement of training for all textile and clothing workers and their ability to identify and rectify faults in the industry
- contribute to a decreasing level of defects through knowledge enrichment and contribute to quality assurance procedures within the textile industry.
- improve skills development and knowledge transfer in universities and technological schools through dedicate training packages;
- assist machinery and product manufacturers understand the complexity of machine setup and work closely to achieve the desired outcome by promoting a better understanding of textile faults in machinery;
The final stage of the Skilltex Project will be the development of the eLearning course, which will be available in 6 languages. The eLearning course will be freely accessible to all interested parties.
