The following vacancy is being advertised on behalf of Mobus Fabrics Ltd:

Position Title:
Textile Technician
Working hours: 37.5; Holiday 20day plus statutory, one extra day for each year of service up
to 5 years.
Salary: 17-18K

Mobus Fabrics Ltd are a leading UK fabric supplier, servicing upholstery manufactures in Europe,
China and the USA. We are looking for a Textile Technician who can be part of our team working
alongside the Directors to develop our Technical and FR Due-diligence programmes both in the UK
and China. A mixture of physical routine testing on Test Materials Centre products

Role & Responsibility

  • Colour fastness testing
  • To provide accurate test reports
  • To Provide support with the testing of new and modified products as required
  • Testing for compliance with ISO standards
  • The opportunity to take part in product development activities.

Skills and Experience ideally required

  • Experience in working with fabrics, yarns & chemicals, and some experience of working in
    testing laboratories
  • Have excellent colour vision
  • The ability to work independently
  • Attention to detail and tenacity are key requirements for this role.

Finished Percher and QC Manager

Duties will include perching and half width rolling finished piece goods as they come in to the warehouse. The role also includes working closely with the production department to progress and chase the fabric orders with the various finishers. Experience of finished perching is essential and a working knowledge of the TMS computer system or similar would be an advantage.
